This is a painting of leaves I collected in 2020, as the global pandemic hit.  I know this season will pass and that new leaves and seasons will emerge.  Still, I have been holding onto these to reflect and give space to behold the collective struggle we have journeyed through in the last year and a half.  They are a way to embrace both the pain and the beauty we have encountered in this long season; to honor our losses, hopes and shared resilience.
